Week 2 (of 52)- 2021 edition

January Challenge- spend no extra money- going great! Really trying to not buy stuff lol. It doesn’t help when my skincare β€œkit”, mascara and eyebrow pencil all seemingly need to be replaced this month πŸ˜³πŸ˜’ Monday didn’t start out soooo great, I woke up on the wrong side of the bed. It was so coldContinue reading “Week 2 (of 52)- 2021 edition”

First Week of 2021

Happy New Years!! I hope you all had a safe and fun one. Even if we weren’t in a pandemic, we would have still stayed in. Lol because that’s just who we are. Not big party people/ we don’t like crowds. I used to try to force myself to do the β€œnormal” things like goContinue reading “First Week of 2021”

Christmas 2020

My aunt made her way over from Florida and brought with her a bunch of presents, cheery disposition and most of all HELP! She hung out and adventured with Hendrix all week long, she played the silly games he asked to play and drove him around town. She jumped for 2 hours at a trampolineContinue reading “Christmas 2020”

Holidays with No Family

I’ve always been family oriented… especially during the holidays. It’s not like they are super fun or do anything, but it’s the comfort of my parents and brother, of opening presents at their house. it’s what I’ve always known. When we moved I knew I would forfeit some of that luxury, but I hoped withContinue reading “Holidays with No Family”

No more Training Weeks- just Active Lifestyle

I’m officially not training for the halfmarathon anymore. It’s just not in the cards right now, I’ve got more to handle, like making sure the kiddo doesn’t fall behind in school while still enjoying learning, training a pup, keeping myself happy and fulfilled, working on my relationship with the hubs (it’s a never ending process-Continue reading “No more Training Weeks- just Active Lifestyle”

Week 6?? half marathon training- mostly Puppy Talk!

Monday- Plan: There was no plan! And there was no execution. Monday was very very tough and exhausting. For one thing, Hendrix cut his hand REALLY badly and he nearly passed out from all the blood. Not that he lost a ton (it was pretty bloody) but he got nauseous from the sight of blood.Continue reading “Week 6?? half marathon training- mostly Puppy Talk!”

Half Marathon Training-Week 3

Monday- REST … and boy did I need it, I was exhausted from the weekend, but also we had a TERRIBLE day. Like me and nugget, whoa.. he was not having it, it was a day (which we allllll get, gotta remember that) where he just was having a sh*t-tastic day. And by afternoon timeContinue reading “Half Marathon Training-Week 3”

Half Marathon Training- Week 2

Monday– converted treadmill pace to street pace and TRIED to hold on for dear life. Either one would have been challenging. But I think it would have been easier to handle on the treadmill with the fluctuating paces. It’s okay though, I stuck with it. Cut it short by ~3 minutes because I was dying.Continue reading “Half Marathon Training- Week 2”

Week 1 (8.31-9.6)

Question of the week is if the speed on treadmill is actually accurate?? Monday- 400m repeats at β€œ8:34/mi pace” πŸ₯΅ Tuesday- I’ve realized I don’t like doing steady running on treadmills, it’s boring! So I made it 2.5 miles but I could have definitely gone longer. Wednesday REST- trivia night- met up with the girlsContinue reading “Week 1 (8.31-9.6)”

Quarantine- Week 9

The office is scheduled to reopen next week. Part time, so people will have schedules and certain days. Low and behold I am getting used to working from home and even though I sometimes miss going to the office (to get that alone time and not be bothered) I don’t want to go back. Monday-Continue reading “Quarantine- Week 9”
